Plot: Ernest Cline's novel "Ready Player One" is set in a dystopian future in which most people escape their harsh reality by submerging themselves in an alternate reality known as the OASIS. Following his death, the OASIS's founder, James Halliday, leaves behind a challenge: uncover three Easter eggs and hidden keys inside the OASIS to inherit his enormous riches and take control of the digital realm. Teenage protagonist Wade Watts, who lives in the destitute "stacks," gets focused on winning the competition. Using his vast pop culture knowledge from the 1980s, Wade sets out on a mission full of riddles, obstacles, and hostile opponents.

He makes allies with other "gunters" (egg hunters) along the road, such as his comrade Aech and love pursuit Art3mis, but he also has to contend with strong opponents like the villainous company- IOI. Wade discovers hidden details about the mysterious creator's past as he digs deeper into the OASIS and follows Halliday's trail of clues. With its fast-paced story and beautifully envisioned virtual world, "Ready Player One" is an exciting adventure that blends elements of gaming, nostalgia, and dystopian fiction, engaging readers.

Review: Ready Player One was a definite experience that took me through the emotions of second hand embarrassment, wonder, laughter and of course happiness. The book started with the character description of the protagonist and the character development he faced during the events of the book are exceptionally well-written. The story could use some more elements of excitement or terror, however, the originality of the concept and the plot scheme is to be praised. You'll think twice before leaving it in between.
